Dear Partner,
YSAW Berlin offers opportunities in networking and sales. This is a key motivation for those
who already registrated. This is also an opportunity for all participamts to influence the future of the European
youth travel industry.
Tell the EU what to do!
We are glad to confirm the programme
of YSAW 2005 in Berlin, Germany, from August, 29th – 31st. You will
notice, by looking at the programme, that it includes plenty of time for
activities in working groups. This is a result of the high level of the
speakers and organisations attending, and of the fact that the outputs
will be considered by BITS (Bureau International du Tourisme Social) when
formulating recommendations for possible youth travel regulations to the
European Union - at the end of this year.
Register before July, 9th The registration deadline in agreement with the hotel and conference
center has been postponed to July, 9th 2005.
Tuesday working group activities
Each group will be small enough to allow for a proper discussion. The
outputs will be presented in a general session and will be summarized
and communicated to the attending international organisations, specifically
the BITS (Bureau International du Tourisme Social).
The amount and size of the working groups will depend on the number of
participants. Key topics to be discussed at YSAW Berlin will be:
- European quality standards for youth accommodation: what standards?
What method? What for? Why or why not?
- European rules for the organisation of youth travel: what regulations?
What existing national regulations can be further developed (i.e. French
BAFA, German "school trip TÜV", English tour operator liability
regulation, German tour operator licencing system...)
Register before July, 9th, here...
